LAKE NORMAN, NC – The 7th Annual
HotStop NFL Alumni / Shriners Charity Golf Classic will again be hosted
at Verdict Ridge Country Club on June 14, 2009. The VIP Pairings Party
and Dinner will be held June 13, 2009 at Michael Waltrip’s Raceworld
USA.
Thanks to our generous sponsors, mainly our Presenting Sponsor American
Valve, the past six years have seen the event contribute much needed
funds to the Shriners Hospitals for Children. Without the support of our
NFL Alumni, like Pro Football Hall of Fame inductees Bobby Bell, Elvin
Bethea, Joe DeLamielleure, Carl Eller, Billy Shaw, and Jack Youngblood,
we would not be able to contribute to this wonderful cause. The 2009
event promises to be a great one for the best of causes.

WORDS cannot describe this event! The friendly people who volunteer at
this event are the ones who make it a joy to play at this event. All the
people from the sponsor to the people that play in this event are the
one's that show their love for the cause and there community. I mark
this on my calendar in January so I won't miss this event!

I have participated in the NFL/Shiners Golf Events a number of years and
look forward each year to returning. The great part of each year are the
sponsors and the golfers that I get to know. The children that the
Shiners treat and care for benefit from the tournament are the winners
of the event. Thanks for making the NFL/Shiners Golf event one the best
in the nation.

enjoyed each and everyone. It is not only a good cause but a good time

The VIP Dinner was great, the tournament, the course and the awards
banquet were all fantastic!!! Another job well done and I look forward
to attending next year!!!

As always, the tournament was a great experience for me and the other
players. The facility and services were outstanding. The people we
played with and the other players we interacted with made for a
memorable round of golf. I can't begin to tell you how much I've enjoyed
every Shiners / NFLA tournament I've played in. Thank you for inviting
me back to your tournament. I look forward to it, because of the way its
run and the new and the old friends I get to see again.
